Hi! I’m Jenni, founder and creator of A Woman Walks.
I am so excited you’re here – I can’t wait to have you join me on this adventure!
I was born a nature girl, hiking before I could walk (hello child carriers!), destined to become the wild woman I am today ~ roaming near and far in my quest to explore what this crazy little thing called life has to offer.
After moving to London when I was 18, and living for years without access to the nature I so loved – the rolling fields and hills of my childhood county of Wiltshire – I ended up moving back to my parents house to start building my life again from scratch. The trauma of being a country girl in the big city took a while to dissipate. When times are tough I turn to the well-trodden trails of my youth, or the adventures waiting in my maps.
I have done many things and been to many places (such as solo travelling around South America) but I’ve always been called back home. While a certain virus played havoc with all of our lives, people everywhere began to realise that, as humans, we need nature. When we’re not up to our eyeballs in to-do lists and conference calls, when everything…
… Stops …
… we yearn to return to our roots, the roots of our past and ancestors. Though we may call ourselves modern, our bodies yearn for the calming, soothing influence of Mother Earth. So reconnect and rewild yourself, strengthen your bonds to Mother Earth, Pacha Mama, Gaia… Let me show you how.
Let’s fetch our boots and get cracking. Adventures don’t have to be far from home.
I can tell we’re going to have a lot of fun
Jenni
