A Woman Walks (‘awomanwalks.com, ‘AWW’, ‘me’, ‘myself’, ‘I’, ‘website’, ‘the site’ and/or ‘my’) is committed to protecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which the website collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a ‘User’) of the website (‘Site’, ‘Service’). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by the company.

I may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit the site, register on the site, subscribe to the newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources I make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, their email address. Users may, however, visit the Site anonymously. I will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to the site. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

AWW will collect information that you provide to me when you purchase any of the products on the site and/or register to use the services/site (such information shall include, but may not be limited to, your name, age, debit/credit card information, telephone number, postal address and email address).

Any letters, e-mails, blog comments, responses on Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Youtube, and Twitter, or questions written directly to me may be used as blog material for my audience unless specifically requested otherwise. (Part of) these letters or emails, questions or any other feedback may be used in newsletters, blog posts, columns or up-and-coming books.

About your usage of the service/site; that you provide to AWW in e-mails or letters that you send to me.

And about transactions, you carry out through the service, orders you place and the fulfilment of your orders.

It is possible to view the AWW website without providing any personal details. However, without giving consent you shall not continue to view my website.

I may also receive some information that you submit to any third party website or application that you access through the Service. Both AWW and the owner or operator of that third party website will be the data controller in respect of any such information and you should check the privacy policy of that website to find out how they will use your personal information.

I will only use any information that I collect from you in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

COOKIES & 3rd PARTY ADVERTISEMENTS

This Site is affiliated with AdThrive, LLC (“AdThrive”) for the purposes of placing advertising on the Site. AdThrive uses standard and widely-available tools for the placement and serving of ads, including those provided by Google, Inc. and its affiliates. I publish interest-based advertisements on the Site; that is, ads that are tailored to reflect your interests. To help understand your interests, AdThrive, Google and our other advertising partners will track your behaviour on my website and on other websites across the Internet using cookies.

We authorize analytics partners (such as Google Analytics) to help analyze usage and traffic for my Services. As an example, I may use analytics partners to analyze and measure, in the aggregate, the number of unique visitors to our Services.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or the companion app or track conversions from Google Adwords ads.

HOW DOES A WOMAN WALKS USE THE INFORMATION THAT YOU PROVIDE TO THE SITE?

THIRD PARTY SITES

The Service may contain links to websites or access to applications that are operated by third parties. AWW does not control and accepts no liability or responsibility for those websites and this Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites. Please consult the terms and conditions and privacy policy of those third party websites to find out how they collect and use your personal data and to establish whether they use cookies and what they may use them for.

Advertisements contained on our Service operate as links to the advertiser’s website and as such any information they collect by virtue of your clicking on that link will be collected and used by the relevant advertiser in accordance with the privacy policy of that advertiser.

AMAZON

Awomanwalks.com is also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?

In common with a number of other websites, the data that AWW collects from you may be transferred to a cloud service provider which has data servers which are based outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer and the storing and/or processing of your personal data on these servers. AWW will take all these steps in the Privacy Policy.

Appropriate security measures will be adopted to protect your information from access by unauthorised persons and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. However, you acknowledge that data transmission over the internet is inherently unsecure and that AWW cannot guarantee the security of data you send over the internet.

Your information will only be held for a reasonable period or as long as the law requires or permits.

ACCESSING YOUR INFORMATION

You may at any time request access to and/or, if incorrect, rectification of your personal data by contacting AWW at the address set out in this Privacy Policy or by e-mailing awomanwalks.com.

AWW reserves the right to ask you for proof of your identity and to charge you a fee of twenty GBP (£20) to meet my costs in granting any data access request you make.

ADVERTISERS & SPONSORS DISCLOSURE

Awomanwalks.com is open to forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, and other forms of compensation and/or projects. Despite this, AWW will never recommend and write about products or brands that I don’t personally use or believe in. I will always disclose whether I am receiving any commissions or products for free, or if a trip was sponsored or not.

AWW is not responsible for the actions of advertisers or sponsors. If you purchase a product or service based upon a link from my website, you must take action with that company to resolve any issues and NOT with our website. Any product, claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

Certain links on the website are affiliate or referral links. At no additional cost to you, I will earn a small percentage of the sale if you make a purchase through my affiliate link.

CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY

AWW has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When I do, I will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page.

I encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how I am helping to protect the personal information I collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
